The Blood Brothers’ Vocalists Team Up for Upcoming Evil Island Album
When The Blood Brothers reunited last year for the 20th anniversary of Crimes, I’m sure a great deal of us collectively creamed our pants. Something about it felt different than all the other nostalgia band reunions as of late—their energy one that hasn’t been matched since their first “last show” back in like 2007 or whatever when they disbanded. And while new music is probably not on the way from the band as we’ve known them, the latest Blood Brothers-adjacent project sees most of the members working together again.
We already know about Evil Island, the new band made of three out of the five original members of The Blood Brothers, that’s also led by vocalist Johnny Whitney. The new band just teased something new that seemingly involves Jordan Billie, the other Blood Brothers vocalist.
Of course they didn’t share any audio of whatever the new album will sound like, but Evil Island did post a few videos from recent studio sessions late last week, sharing in the caption:
“We kidnapped @jordanblilie and imprisoned him on Evil Island to extract his voice for the record. Not teasing any previews for this one you’ll all have to wait to hear it ????”
Don’t make us wait, y’all! How incredibly unfair. The gaping hole The Blood Brothers left was last full in 2006, when the band released their last album together called Young Machetes.
No album title or release date for the Evil Island album has been shared yet, but it seems as though they’ve been in the studio with producer Ross Robinson for over a month now. Hopefully they’ll give us that good shit soon.
