CMJ MUSIC MARATHON METAL MAYHEM

CMJ 2007So it’s CMJ Music Marathon time here in NYC. This means the following:

  1. Lots of annoying indie rock hipsters strutting around town like they’re the shit. If you see one, please punch them in the face.
  2. Lots of annoying music industry types from all over the country and abroad, strutting around town like they’re the shit. If you see one, please punch them in the face.
  3. Lots of annoying indie rock hipsters in bands playing showcases for annoying music industry types. If you find yourself at one of said showcases, please toss a hand grenade into the crowd and do us all a favor.

Now that that’s out of the way… we’ve compiled a list of potentially interesting hard rock and metal shows that are officially CMJ-sanctioned. But we know there are more unofficial shows and we’d love to hear about ‘em, so feel free to post in the comments if you’d like. Check out our picks after the jump.
