SOUTH PARK “GUITAR QUEER-O” VIDEO

As Axl reported yesterday, South Park aired a hilarious parody of Guitar Hero on Wednesday night. Thanks to MetalSucks commenter TedTedPoleyPoley, here is one of the scenes from Wednesday’s episode. As usual, the South Park writers totally nail it.

The topic for this episode took me by suprise. Earliear that same day I was talking to a guy at a guitar store and he said the exact quote from the show which was, “if kids spent 1/2 as much time playing a real instrument than they do playing the stupid video game, they could actually learn how to play for real.” Great episode. Chase the Dragon!

I love me some Guitar Hero, but I am annoyed by the kids who think it’s some kind of substitute for the real thing. But at the same time I can’t stand the “you’re gay learn to play for real” elitist crowd either.
