THINGS GET HAIRY FOR HIMSA IN THEIR “BIG TIMBER” VIDEO

It’s funny to think that once upon a time, a band not appearing in its own video was unthinkable; since Tool, though, it seems like every metal band in the world wants nothing more than to just let some director go off and film whatever without them.

But I really, really like Himsa’s video for “Big Timber,” which was directed by Jared Eberhardt; I find it incredibly amusing, and the song rocks. What does it mean? Who gives a shit? It tickles me and it’s memorable, and that’s all that matters. In fact, I hope they start to sell Himsa Sasquatch dolls real soon…

These guys are good, check out the video for Summon the Thunder too, it’s pretty funny. They were awesome opening for Amon Amarth at The Irving/Fillmore.
