Though Dave Grohl didn’t quite get his publicly-announced wish (yet!) of playing drums for the reunited Led Zeppelin, he got the next best thing. Grohl somehow convinced Led Zep bassist/keyboardist John Paul Jones to join the Foo Fighters on bass for a performance of their hit “The Pretender” at Sunday’s Grammy Awards, a childhood dream if you ask me. Oh, and there was also a full symphony orchestra on stage. Watch an excited Grohl perform the song with JPJ + orchestra below.

I’m just not digging Foo Fighters anymore. They used to have an edge and now they sound like Sheryl fucking Crow with this Adult Contemporary bullshit.
He needs to do another Probot record or something. He’s pussifying his own musical legacy.

Jesus. Throw in a string section, and everyone says that you’re “Sheryl fucking Crow”, despite the fact that this song has pretty much none of the same qualities as her music.
Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, Probot, sharing stages and record running time with everyone from Queen to Wino to Mastodon to Springsteen to Tom Petty to King fucking Buzzo. I doubt a damn thing is going to happen to Grohl’s legacy, um, “devil”. Unless you’re calling Buzz Osborne a pussy.
