HATEBREED DOESN’T HATE KOCH RECORDS

Koch Records’ bid to conquer the metal world continues with their signing of hardcore heroes Hatebreed. The label will release a live DVD for the band later this year, with an album presumably to follow. Jamey Jasta and Koch VP of Metal Scott Givens have both made typically effusive statements, but I’m not gonna re-print them here because, well, who gives a shit? Everyone is happy to be in business together. You get it.

Look: I like Hatebreed. They’re probably one of the better Slayerized hardcore bands out there these days. How will being on Koch effect the Hatebreed business, though? About as much as Terror being on Century will effect the Terror business, I imagine.

I don’t care for Hatebreed so I’m sad to report I’ll be seeing them this June. Hopefully Type O Negative plays before them so I can get the hell out.

So Hatebreed signed with a label that puts out the Wiggles and Seasame Street cd’s. It doesn’t get anymore METAL the that.
