SUCKLE MY KNUCKLE

From The Austerity Program to Made Out Of Babies, it seems that some of my favorite acts in noise rock these days are coming from NYC, something that makes this native beam with hometown pride. Wetnurse is the latest addition to this list.

As if Wednesday’s Today Is The Day gig in NYC couldn’t get any more intense and essential, Wetnurse has been added to the already unstoppable opening lineup of Weedeater and Love 666. Fresh off last night’s appearance at the Beasts of the East festival (which I missed to instead yawn through Steven Brodsky’s excruciating, intolerable set opening for Pelican), the New York-based act has been touring consistently surrounding the release of their impressive Invisible City album, released on CD and limited edition vinyl by Seventh Rule Recordings. Score yourself a taste of their sweet, breastmilky goodness by checking out “Not Your Choice” from the record.

I’m so glad I’m not the only one that thinks steven brodskys solo material is complete garbage.

Yeah I saw that this morning about Weedeater. Quite the drag. Still, I’m quite happy with the other openers.
