The Devil You Know, the new Dio-Sabbath record, is every bit as rockin’ as I’d hoped it will be. I’m working on a review before its release a week from today, but if you’re anxious to hear it – and you really, really should be – it’s currently streaming on The Leak, which, for better or worse, is a VH1 sub-site.
GO LISTEN TO THIS ALBUM. IT IS AWESOME AND PUTS ALL OTHER VETERAN BANDS TO SHAME.

It’s not bad. I like it, but i mean, they’re not really breaking any new ground, are they? I just hope i’m still rocking that hard at 60.
Well two of them kind of invented that ground I suppose. Amazing for their age of course but I like it as much on its own merits regardless – it just has that quality I look for in metal. I’m almost surprised to say it’s my favourite metal album of the year so far but I should have known after those track on the Dio Years.
The mighty riffage of the Iommi and the fire and brimstone of the Dio is still a wonderful combination.
This is a very sold album, I’ll def be picking it up.

As someone who cut his metal teeth with Heaven and Hell (the album) and its awesome bluesy metal and Mob Rules with it’s dripping evil sound, I was totally prepared to write this off as a band who was probably way past its prime and out of fresh ideas.
I was wrong.

Ozzy who? This new record puts Zakk Wylde Ozzy to shame. Iommi is the inventor of the RIFF. Dio’s voice sounds as strong as it always has! Fuck!

while its a pretty damn good album…”Scary Dreams” is still better than any fucking song on this Dio fronted Sabbath album.
Great album. It’s not Paranoid, but Dio certainly sounds better at this point than Ozzy does.
