THRASH & BURN TOUR 2009 LINEUP ANNOUNCED!

As a co-sponsor of the 2009 run of the Thrash & Burn Tour, MetalSucks is pleased to announce the full, confirmed lineup of bands for this year’s trek. The tour will run through the U.S. from July 24th through August 30th, 2009, and will be headlined by MetalSucks-faves Devildriver. Support will come from Emmure, Despised Icon, My Children My Bride, Veil of Maya, For The Fallen Dreams, Oceano, Periphery and Red River Revival [UPDATE: Red River Revival will not be on the tour. -Ed.]
While we at MetalSucks can’t say we vouch for every single one of those bands, we appreciate the “something for everyone” angle of this year’s tour, and there’s absolutely no denying it; that is an amazing lineup, and if you aren’t interested in at least a few of those bands we highly suggest you stop drinking that Haterade pronto. We’ll be there for sure. We’ll have tour announcements for you leading up to and through the duration of the tour, including tour dates and cities very soon. As soon as we know, so will you!
See you this summer.

why dont they just take the one and only thrash band from last year’s tour (arsis) and have them headline and fuck the rest of these bands?

After speaking in person to James Malone, ACTUALLY LISTENING TO ARSIS, having a decent familiarity with the word thrash (which you two ostensibly are not), and visiting the Arsis website in which they SPECIFICALLY STATE THEIR GENRE AS “death metal/THRASH/metal, I think its clear to say you two are fucking retarded
On the upside, it is good to know that the promoters of Thrash and Burn will at least sell 2 tickets as im sure both of you will be attending this shitty bill…enjoy the show guys! Let me know about all the “thrash” bands you see there!!!

At least last year had, like, 1 1/2 good bands. This year has just a bunch of faggoty bullshit. Yet another shitty Metal Sucks sponsored tour.
Not as good as last year, but I’ll still check it out especially if it comes through the pearl room in mokena (hot bartenders). I’ll be looking forward to Devildriver, Despised Icon, & Veil of Maya. I could really care less for the others though.

Not interested…I would like to check out Oceano cuz I just heard about them recently, but don’t care for the rest of the bands. Got respect for Veil of Maya, though.
I loled at this lineup. I would not sit through Veil of Maya…again and For the Fallen Dreams …again and the always horrible MyChildren MyBride…again to see Despised Icon…again.

Whats there NOT to like about Veil Of Maya…. seriously…i understand its not thrash but i would like to see some of these bands follow their rhythm sections…. fucking genius. Fuck all you Veil Of Maya haters… u just dont appreciate real musicality….. also the singer from Oceano would go tell u to suck his big phat black dick cuz he has the most brootal death metal voice ive ever heard… Again… misleading title for this lineup but its a badass lineup nevertheless… all i know is regardless the pits at these shows are gunna be fucking crazy so its worth it right there… And im proud of what Devildriver is doing… they are promoting the underground and trying to mix up peoples tastes. Devildriver knows whats up. Its bands like them that keep metal strong \m/

I can’t wait for this tour. I really wanna see Despised Icon!! I could care less for Emmure and the hella boring Devildriver though. Mychildren Mybride used to be good. Veil of Maya and Periphery are super sick. Stoked for that as well. For the Fallen Dreams is always fun. Fuck Oceano.
All in all a decent tour. Last year’s lineup had Misery Signals though. They were so goddamn good.
How can you call a tour Thrash and Burn and not have any thrash bands? Seriously… I’m going to have a tour featuring Brokencyde, The Jonas Brothers, and Paramore, and called it ‘The Blackest of Black metal Tour 2009″.

Add this to the tours that I’m missing this year. I seriously hate every single band that I recognize on the tour. And yes, I fucking hate Devildriver. Dez’s voice is blown out and everyone can easily see that. He was good in Coal Chamber but his vocal cords are fucking shot.
And Emmure, Despised Icon, and Oceano suck. When I can count the number of deathcore bands that I like on one hand, It becomes obvious that it’s the new nu metal.
