As promised, here are the dates for that whole Between the Buried and Me/Cynic/The Devin Townsend Project/Scale the Summit North American Orgasm Tour 2010, which I’m sure actually has a much more “professional” name, even though calling it the “Orgasm Tour” would really just be truth in advertising.

  1. SlickerDrip says:

I’m not risking a trip to Chicago in January, maybe if it was Zeppelin or Maiden or Creed.

    • Garske says:

      lol

      I C WAT U DID THERE

    • Rob Smith says:

Creed?! Are you serious? You would “risk” a trip to Chicago to see Creed? First those dudes are long washed up and their careers are way over. Even those bands like Zepplin and Maiden (though don’t get me wrong they are legends and any REAL music lover can respect them) aren’t worth going to see anymore. Between the Buried and Me are a genius band that combine almost all aspects of the musical spectrum and they do it brilliantly. Their show would be brilliant

  2. Sin and Death says:

    YAR!!!

  3. Steven A says:

YES! A fucking Florida date that is only an hour away. It’s the same Venue that HORSE will be hitting in December. This is going to be awesome!

  4. RockOutWithMy.....YouKnow says:

Might have to double up and hit the city on the 29th then head home on the 30th! Ohhhh possibilities

  5. Love living in Chicago.

  6. deanerhead says:

Apparently its called the Great Misdirect tour. It seems to me there’s one too many bands on this bill. For those of us only interested in Devin, I sincerely hope he gets more than a half hour set.

    • geraldford says:

i hope he gets a twenty minute set

      • deanerhead says:

I hope you die of arteriosclerotic cerebrovascular disease and diffuse arteriosclerosis by age 93, Mr. President.

    • Natalie says:

I hope he gets an hour set because someone’s bus stops working or something. anyone but Cynic’s bus. hahaha

    • Motoghost says:

It’s a very proper title considering whoever made the lineup was completely misdirected putting BTBAM as the headliner over both Cynic AND Devin Townsend

      • stu1 says:

Well, when Cynic and DT sell more records and draw more than BTBAM, they can headline

        • Ben says:

          This is truth.

          • stu1 says:

I didn’t mean that as a diss, either. I like all of the bands. But I’m so sick of people whining about shit like this. “Band A rewlz! Why are they opening for that shit??” Well, the concept of “opening” generally involves you NOT being as big as the other band, and while helping to bring some people to the show, the key is exposing your band to other people. There is no question here that neither Cynic or DTP at this point, aren’t as big as BTBAM.

        • Motoghost says:

          Good point stu1.

  7. jason says:

No Florida dates?!? I call bullshit on this.

  8. Did you just piss on my xbox? says:

    no pittsburgh?

    fuck yoooooooouuuuuu

  9. groverXIII says:

Cleveland in January? Awful brave of them… I’d like to make it to that or the Detroit show, but I don’t see that happening, sadly.

    • ZapBranigan says:

Ugh, Cleveland is a 3 hour drive for me and lake effect snow is a bitch. I’m debating it though.

      • groverXIII says:

If there was anything worth driving three hours in said lake effect snow, this would be it.

        • Justin Sane says:

don’t do it, 3 hours to see a show at peabody’s will just make you angry. that place is a shithole with bad sound.

i live 10 minutes away, and would love to go just to see devin, but i cant stand peabody’s… i’m actually thinking about not goin.

  10. Byron Ward says:

Surprise surprise… Utah gets fucked over… Why oh why do I live in such a stupid state!!??

  11. Driven9 says:

Hell Yeah!! Magic Stick in Detroit HERE I CUM.

Anyone going to the Denver date: shots for my belated bday??

  16. Dan-O says:

    Jan. 20th baby!

  17. yourgodsucksballs says:

Slim’s in SF on the 18th? Wow. I hope I get to buy Devin crepes from the crepes stand
across the street that, when drunk, looks exactly like a taco truck. Canadians like that shit,
right? I’m so excited for this, my balls are sopping wet. This should make up for my
stupidity when I didn’t get tickets in time for Meshuggah/Cynic/The Faceless at the same venue.

  18. pdf says:

Arrive early, leave early. I’m really only going for Cynic. Can’t stand BTBAM.

  19. January 13th, I am SO there! Mostly for Cynic, but I do like BTBAM, too. For those who’ve seen them, how often do they play “Ants of the Sky”?

    • chris says:

i saw them play it twice, but that’s when colors was brand new so i doubt we’ll be seeing ants of the sky. they’ll probably play all of the great misdirect.

  20. Chris Berseth says:

No MN date? I may have to make a trip to Chicago.

  21. Kuranes says:

    Huzzah! San Diego!

  22. Nikki says:

it feels good living in So Cal =)

  23. Elpants says:

I find the lack of Northwest dates…disturbing.

C’mon, add Boise, Portland and Seattle.

    • wackomann says:

Ditto with Seattle. You figure with Devin there’d be at least a Vancouver date on here. Then again, maybe he’d save a two-hour gig as a one-off after the tour or something.

  24. josecarnage says:

FUCK THESE BANDS GIVE ME SOME ATTACK ATTACK, MOTIONLESS IN WHITE AND SOME BROKENCYDE

  25. human#19860 says:

    …….FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKK

  26. some guy says:

Jan. 10 – New Orleans, LA – House of Blues

    FUCK YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  27. B-dizzle says:

Why in the fuck is BTBAM headlining?

  28. Gunnar says:

Sonar in Baltimore! will be there for sure!

  29. Me says:

montreal. good times. at least for Canadian dates Montreal usually gets one right after Toronto.

  30. soup says:

devin townsend on my birthday? what could be a better gift? i suppose if he still rocked the skullet…but i can’t complain.

  31. BEHEMOHAWK says:

Do they have any fuckin’ clue how small the magic stick in Detroit is?

My bathroom is bigger then that place.

  32. Jo says:

awww buying tickets from the band without the extra bullshit charges was so nice yesterday. plus it was only ten bucks whoooooooooooooooooooooo

  33. DecrystallizingReason says:

FUCK. Closest date for me is a 4-hour drive to Chicago, in January. God damn it.

  34. Kill All says:

Tempe, AZ…right down the street from my house, finally a date in the section of AZ I live in. No trip to Tucson this time, unlike Dying Fetus/The Faceless/BTM. I hate Tucson.

  35. Portland got fucked again.

Oh well. I would’ve left after Devin’s set anyway. I don’t give a fuck about the other bands.

  36. Tim Shanks says:

As popular as all these acts are, as far a cities go, this is one of the most poorly booked tours ive seen.

  37. Cody Barrick says:

wish there was a date closer than maryland for me.

  38. bitch says:

    arg! fuck st louis!

  39. ahem, the Club Soda in Montreal isn’t even announcing it on their website, but they are announcing some kind of unknown folk metal band called Korpiklaani. What the fuck? When are the tickets gonna be on sale?

    • groverXIII says:

Korpiklaani isn’t really unknown to fans of folk metal… unfortunately, they’ve gotten in the habit of releasing albums with a couple of decent songs and a whole bunch of songs that are carbon copies of their older material. Their older material is pretty good, though… rather upbeat, with lyrics in English that aren’t especially well-translated, but it’s good drinking music.

    • Snores says:

Extensive Enterprise confirmed the BTBAM show two days before BTBAM did lol
You can buy tickets at Labyrinth

  40. Ty says:

Axl I appreciate the use of Drew’s “Oh Face” from Office Space. Classic.

  41. Jay says:

Hey tour routers! Stop passing Pittsburgh!

  42. MoonSnake says:

already got my tickets for the charlotte date!

  43. Garske says:

    WHAT NO NORTH DAKOTA DATES?!

    owate

  44. oBESTIALo says:

i already knew this i added it on last fm, buying ticket for san diego leik right now,im glad btbamis headlining they deserve to, they just released the fuckin great misdirect!!!! will be buying btbam and cynic merch

  45. The Rev'rend says:

…Aaaand the O-Face, For The Win!

  46. Sambo says:

I’m probably either seeing them January 16 or January 18 since I live in Las Vegas and my brother’s up in Reno and we are MAJOR fans of BTBAM!

  47. Lord Bling says:

I will be at the Dallas, TX show, one way or another. Cynic and Devy, together?!? Unfuckingbelievable. I’ll do whatever I have to do to go to this.

  48. You know… I was so excited that Devin was touring.

Every concert I’ve been to since then has paled to my anticipation of that moment. So here I am finding out that BTBAM are headlining I die a little bit inside.

I’m not sure why but I was really convinced Devin would be headlining his own tour.

  49. Cameron says:

I hope it’s called the Orgasm Tour, I would buy that shirt in a heartbeat.

  50. Todd Hall says:

I love living 6 hours from Chicago.
