Awaken, the new album from Empire Shall Fall (featuring original Killswitch Engage vocalist Jesse Leach), is now streaming in its entirety over at Metal Injection. I’ve been putting off listening to this album for a long time, but now that I am listening as I type this, I can safely say it’s not what I expected – in other words, it’s not just Alive or Just Breathing, Part 2. So shame on me for initially ignoring these dudes.

Sorry for the spam but I just wanted to mention that Empire Shall Fall is holding a record release party this Friday (November 13th) at Dingbatz in Clifton, NJ. Some pretty awesome local metal bands will be playing as well. Show starts at 9 pm, $10 cover.

Man its good to hear Jesse doing metal again instead of Seemless. I’m still pissed about him leaving Killswitch. Goddamn Alive or Just Breathing was amazing.
I thought Seemless was pretty bad ass.

The album is self released, essentially. He also trashes acts on labels that advertise on here, but good thinking otherwise.
Eh, nothing really outstanding to me. But then again I only listened to the opening title track
The opening track is awesome.
The guitar tone is sick.
I actually love new KSE better then old, but this is good.
Hopefully the rest stands up to the first track.
Couldn’t agree more. But the second song kind of deflated my sails. (Did I just mix metaphors?). Anyway, I’ll go back and listen to tracks 3 and beyond later.
