In September we saw Alice in Chains play a pretty amazing show, and it looks like we’ll get a chance to see ‘em again in March: the band has announced a headlining North American tour, scheduled to begin in February.

If you’ve never seen AIC live, you need to. Even without Layne Staley, they kick ass in a major way. And now that Black Gives Way to Blue has been out for awhile, hopefully they’ll start to incorporate more new material into their set.

    Fucking Florida jumpers.

yup…what a bummer. Anyone know who is the supporting act for this tour?

  • Anthony

Well I get to redeem myself after missing them in September.

Disappointing that they’re playing the Orpheum this time around in Boston instead of a club like The Paradise. Oh well, I’ll still go since I missed them before.

That was a “small venue tour,” and they sold that venue out in minutes. How many shows do you suggest them playing there?

I just like the smaller club shows more. I’m glad they sell big-scale shows, too.

Saw them in Portland, Oregon a couple days before the album came out. Great show. Hopefully, I’ll be able to catch them again.

I saw Alice In Chains opening for Ozzy back on his “No More Tours” tour. Layne was in a wheelchair. But now he’s dead, so in retrospect that wasn’t such a disability.

      HAHAHAHA!

  • SHOCKTROOP

thanks for the heads up. AIC as the tower theater will be fucking awesome! wouldn’t mind seeing em at the borgata either.

    • TheSalamanizer

Yeah but the tower is all seats! They need a pit.

  • Brandog

Damn…no dates anywhere near TX?!? I saw them a few years ago though, they do slay live.

  • Mitchell

Poop, don’t think I can catch them this tour :( this is sadness

Makes no sense to me why these tours skip Florida.
