METALLICA MEMBERS SPEAK OUT ON DEATH VAGINA

Way back before Death Magnetic came out I observed that the album’s cover looked like a big, hairy vagine. I wasn’t alone. Naturally there was an entire army of like-minded Internet snobs ready with their super-soakers full of Haterade, but it turns out that the members of Metallica noticed the similarities too. In the “Extras” section of their recently releases live DVD Francais Pour Une Nuit, the members of Metallica were asked to comment on the matter.


I find it amusing that each band member’s personality really shows through their answers; Rob tries to paint the picture of a decision made by a band with “mystique” (despite the fact that he probably had zero input in the album cover), James is all “whatever you want it be,” and Lars frames it as a work of art while being the only band member who actually uses the word “pussy.” Love it. Where’s Kirk? I would’ve LOVED to hear his answer.

        And he should sing, Christopher Walken spoken word would have so much more rhythm than Hetfield seems to be capable of anymore. Can you imagine seek and destroy as spoken by the man himself? And if you doubt me go on youtube and see how he took lady gaga’s pokerface and transformed it into a true work of art. And hell he should play guitar too because let’s face it. Both Jimmy and Kirky haven’t been able to create a truly decent riff in more than a decade. So let’s run a petition to get Christopher Walken to be one of those one man walking bands complete with bull horn and have him own the legal rights to the name Metallica. Then metal can truly reach the promised land.

    I love Metallica, but wow Lars gets gayer everytime I hear him. James needs more tats, he hasn’t quite mastered the UFC “douche-metal” look just yet.

    Once again I LOOOVEE Metallica and I always will. They were my life as a teenager in the 80′s and they continue to be a huge part of my life. But I have to admit the obvious!
