“SUMERIANCORE” NOW OFFICIALLY RECOGNIZED BY URBAN DICTIONARY!

The June 2010 issue of Decibel notes that the we’ve failed to get “Sumeriancore” an entry on Wikipedia, which, sadly, is true. But thanks to MetalSucks Maniac 6infinite6hatred6, the word now has an entry on Urban Dictionary. If memory serves correctly, UD rejected our previous attempts to get the word up there, so massive, massive, MASSIVE props to 6infinite6hatred6 for finally making the dream a reality. We think we’re getting a little choked up just typing about it.

    Nothing special here. It’s actually quite hard to get something rejected by Urban Dictionary. I submitted some definitions to it some years ago, and only one failed. Only overly hateful stuff gets blocked, as I learnt.

    Perhaps you coined the term because you didn’t want to use the word “deathcore” when describing what music you like. If that’s the case, I don’t really blame you.

    Sumeriancore? Guys, seriously? Where is the Nuclear Blastcore or Spinefarmcore? You could argue that all of those bands sound roughly the same, so why not?
