No joke: With a single image, Nightfall’s completely fucking crazy clip for “Astron Black” becomes a contender for Best Video of 2011. And that image is this:

This is really the only moment of overt humor in the clip, which basically plays like 300 by way of a Mastodon video. So I’m not sure if Nightfall and director Achilleas Gatsopoulos intended it to be hilarious, or if they think they’re saying something like, way profound — in Greek mythology, Gaia is like the Earth Mother who gives birth to everything, so I suspect they may have indeed been aiming for profundity. But even if that is the case, you should totally watch the whole video after the jump, because even without the above image, there’s a lot of really, really cool imagery.
