DYSRHYTHMIA ARE “RUNNING TOWARDS THE END”

Wednesday, October 5th, 2011 at 12:30pm by

The good news is, the always jaw-dropping instrumental prog metal outfit Dysrhythmia (featuring bassist Colin Marston, who was named #15 on our list of theTop 25 Modern Metal Guitarists) have released a demo for a new song, entitled “Running Towards the End.” And the great news is, they are giving away that demo for free. Download it right here. Like all Dysrhythmia, it will take ten or twenty listens to full grasp every nuance of the song, and like all Dysrhythmia, those ten or twenty listens will be highly enjoyable.

Hopefully this means we’ll get a new Dysrhythmia album in the not-too-distant future, too.

Do some forward-thinking here, then partake in a group hug in our comments section below.

ever see these guys live?  you’d never guess their drummer drummed for this band.  my friend called it when he said he looks like a college professor.  love these guys.

I saw them open last September for Cynic and Intronaut in NYC, they were mind blowingly good!

Exactly! He looks like an accountant! I love that the band doesn’t have a “look.” Colin is badass, true metal; the drummer is a nebbish, number-crunching maniac, and the guitarist is a wizard who travels through time when he plays.

Love, LOVE these guys. They are amazing live. Can’t wait for Brooklyn show w/ East of the Wall and Meek Is Murder. Best lineup in forever!

Dude I was convinced you were saying Dysrhythmia split up. I’m thankful I read on.

I saw that Cynic/Intronaut show too (in LA)!  I had the pleasure of meeting Dys and they were all very humble and down to earth.  They’re also some of the most insane musicians and music writers since Stravinsky.  HIGHLY recommend seeing them live.
