LET CLOUDKICKER BE HUGE: TWO NEW ALBUMS ON THE WAY

While we were busy palling around with Municipal Waste, God Forbid, Today is the Day and the rest of the excellent bands that played Day 1 of the Metal Suckfest on Friday, we heard some great news from an act that would’ve felt at home on the prog-centric lineup of the Suckfest’s second day: Ben Sharp, aka Cloudkicker, will be releasing not one but TWO new records on November 22nd.

Cloudkicker is one of our favorite up-and-coming instrumentalists and is as prolific as anyone in metal; his last full album, Beacons, came out just one year ago. From Cloudkicker’s Tumblr:

IT’S NEW ALBUM TIME! November 22 is gonna be one hell of a day for Cloudkicker fans. Let Yourself Be Huge is the new Cloudkicker album that’s coming out on November 22nd, accompanied by ANOTHER album called Loop, which I guess contains, ahem, some sort of loops? Who knows, we’ll wait and see. So yeah, I’m too excited.

In keeping with past tradition, I’d guess that Sharp will be making the album available for digital download via Bandcamp for any price you deem appropriate. Hopefully we’ll get something in the way of a new song or two very soon.

    I love that he’s cool with the name your price option. If that’s the case with these albums, I’ll probably throw him at least $5 for each so he gets money and I feel good about obtaining it legally.

    That equipment page lists a Taylor acoustic for both of the new albums. Does that mean it’s only acoustic guitar? Or electric too?

    Also, that facebook page isn’t Cloudkicker’s page. Says right on the left-hand side, it’s a fan page, not official.
