Lamb of God - "Ghost Walking"

By the time Resolution comes out on January 24th, 2012 it will have been almost three full years since the release of Lamb of God’s last album of new material, Wrath. Three years is a long time for fans to wait for new music from a band, but Lamb of God aren’t just any band. From their humble beginnings in Richmond, VA in the mid ’90s, Lamb of God grew to become one of the celebrated champions at the top of the budding New Wave of American Heavy Metal scene in the early 2000s. A decade later, thanks to relentless worldwide touring and a dogged devotion to improving their musical chops while staying true to their roots, Lamb of God are inarguably the biggest modern metal band in the world. If you don’t believe us, try this little thought experiment out for size: what other band this side of Metallica (who stopped qualifying for the “modern” tag long before Lamb of God released their first album) whips the metalsphere into such a dizzying fury whenever they release new music? Lamb of God may reach the dreaded/vaunted “legacy” status some day, but that day is not today: one listen to their brand new track “Ghost Walking” should prove that Lamb of God are is vibrant and relevant as ever.

Get your exclusive first listen of “Ghost Walking” below, then pre-order Resolution in one of several different combo packages through Lamb of God’s official webstore.

    Fuck yes!!!!

    • AngelsDontKill6

i love lamb of god and i haven’t disliked anything of there’s and this is no different, every one who is hating on the song go right a head its a matter of opinion.

my opinion… this song is typical lamb of god.
      which is amazing

  • Loudfarmer .com

    Love that snare sound.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Matt-Elliott/510004365 Matt Elliott

abit disapointed, I was worried they were gunna do Wrath 2.0 and this sounds like it.

    • Dan

I dont get why so many people hated Wrath… You cant tell me that each LoG album doesnt sound different (In tone and some stylings) than the previous one. Wrath had some amazing songs that are still some of my favorites and I highly doubt we’ll be let down by this album.

      • CJ

Agreed. Wrath was sweet. I think it’s their best. Can’t understand all the hate.

        • http://www.facebook.com/people/Matt-Elliott/510004365 Matt Elliott

I don’t hate it mate! I just felt it was too structured, linear and predictable, I miss the fucking chaos of earlier Lamb of God thats all. I don’t wanna hear the same structure in every song.

        • http://www.facebook.com/audun.ween Audun Vladimir Ween

Wrath sounds like one song. There is little variety compared to the earlier releases like Ashes and Palaces.

          • Freddy

actually i found the exact opposite, there was a huge amount of variety in wrath – one listen to the acoustic intro track, the classical guitar opening to grace and the punk stylings of contractor will tell you this. personally i can’t fuckin’ wait for this album, can just tell it’s gonna kick ass!

      • DionGeko

Thing is, everyone has their own opinions! Just like Mark said on Twitter – Opinions are like assholes, everybody has one.

I, personally, didn’t like Wrath. Not that it wasn’t good, it was damn good! But it just didn’t appeal to me like the other stuff. Others, however, loved it, and that’s great!

  • Thibault Audrerie

    Fucking Great Song.

    • kriemer

Agreed. Can’t wait to hear the whole album on 1/24

  • DrewDePietro

    Shit doesnt load on mobile

    • heavymetalnz

Shit doesnt load at all for me, probably server load

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Zane-Blunt/548590952 Zane Blunt

I can’t get past that acoustic intro.

    • Ryan

song isn’t terrible but yeah, that acoustic intro shit is tired

  • Farrukhna

    EXCELLENt… Brutal

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1460316186 Tiziano Gennari

    yessss aaaaaand theyre bacckkk! :D

  • Ch4rOon

*Ready to walk with them in hell! * |;;/.

  • LOLgoroth

Mark Morton and Willie Adler are in the Mark Morton & Willie Adler level of playing guitar.

  • Guest

banging the hell out of my brains off my nose

  • Mat Vakarm Bourbon

Sounds a lot like their last two albums, but i don’t care. I fucking love it.

  • Crazyassdave2002

  • depravedvox

If this album tops Wrath, they’re without a doubt the best metal band ever to have walked the face of the earth (Pantera comes in at second, lol)! This song indicates that it could overdo Wrath!

  • Wicia from Poland

After first , actually after second time I listened to this I knew this is it! I luv it ! :D

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1670000086 Euphorie D’une Mirøslava

    awsome !!!!!!

  • Beer

Good stuff!  Glad I can understand Blythe’s lyrics again.  The last few albums they were so buried in the mix that you couldnt really hear them.

  • Speedy

  • Vertebrae

I know that most of the bands changes their sound during their career because they don’t want to “repeat themselves”, but this is just awful.

It sound totally like Wrath V2 (wich is a bad album in my opinion)  in my opinion.

I think that LOG has moved to a “safe” musical territory,  with no trash elements, predictable song structures and while the guitar riffs are not necessarily slow the mid tempo groove drumming takes out the energy of the songs. (like in wrath)

This guys are capable of more, their first three albums are masterpieces.

Maybe i’m an internet metal nerd, but i was expecting more.

    • Vertebrae

      Sorry for the typo.

      • http://www.facebook.com/khemikalcyanide Galo Balbuena

    • adero

agree. short but sweet. again; I agree. -As the palaces burn- got to be one of the strongest albums ever. Though I found
Sacrament more interesting with a very innovative take on metal.

    • Fulloutshred

Yeah lets go back to when the drums sounded like cardboard boxes, the bass was nonexistant, and the vocals were inintelligible. Bands change, deal with it.

      • Vertebrae

“good production” is totally different from “good music”

      • anders bjørnø

Obviously you don’t know the difference between music and over produced bieber

    • Nickfitz420

stfu you punk ass bitch, LOG is the shit so stop talking shit about the shit or i will shit down your throat you piece of shit. SSSHHIIITT i love LOG

    • http://www.facebook.com/khemikalcyanide Galo Balbuena

You cannot fucking spell can you? also dude, each album got better and better with lamb of god. Also vader’s albums sound the same, but if they’re good then they’re all good. They like to keep to a theme and you should respect that. Bands shouldn’t go for a completely different sound every album, after a couple of albums maybe.

    • phillip starr

pick up a musical instrument and try better LoG is doing just fine its sad to hear soooo much ignorant criticism all of their releases KICK ASS you couldn’t do it better  damn christians are always judging anyway when they’re not suppossed to lol

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Andy-Acosta/793917379 Andy Acosta

agreed they just started making corny ass music.

  • Adel

disappointing, the reason why it is not as good as thier early stuff is simple, this meterial is not riff oriented anymore, the vocals are in the focus and even though randy does a good job it is still far too monotonus and not melodic enough to be in the center, I hope there will be some veriaty in the album. still brutal but nothing special.

    • Ali

i think you nailed it…The riffs just seem like filler rather than the amazing well thought out riffs of past songs. Also, I barley recognize that as Randy’s vocals, sounds totally different.

Still hopeful for the rest of the album

      • Matthew

        I love barley!

  • Leviathan__

Epic song is epic ! My mind has blown away ! Can’t wait to listen Ghost Walking live !! See you in hellfest !!

  • Kisiel

I loved Wrath, this song reminds me tracks from that record but it;s pretty mediocre. I can only hope that the rest of the album will be better.

  • Kisiel

I loved Wrath and this song reminds me tracks of that record but it’s actually sound’s pretty mediocre. I can only hope that the rest of the album will be better.

    • Kisiel

      sorry for the duplicated comment

  • Logforlife

    damnnnn guitar solo

  • David

Why are people hating everytime artists put out new stuff? not only with LoG but everytime any artist puts up some new stuff unless it’s a pop artist it allways get hated on the internet, fuck man get out, get some sun, see theese motherfuckers live and start apreciate their work a bit, life as a metal musician today aint easy unless your fucking metallica… i agree if a band has totally changed direction it takes a couple of listens to get your head around it but damn, after that your digging it like it was jesus cock up your ass…

  • Jp Winz

One song from the album, whole album criticized…people are awesome. The track by track basically described this as a standard LoG song, thats why they released it early as a single. Wait for the whole album before you start criticizing it as “wrath v2″

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001223124279 Surtur Büddha

sounds like lamb of god are finally back after two not-good records!

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Corey-Mitchell/660352330 Corey Mitchell

Nice way to kick off the week! Thanks guys.

  • http://www.facebook.com/kellerwvu Alan Keller Jr.

good chance this will be the most accessible track on the album, hense it being the first single.  just like redneck was off of sacrament.  gonna be another good one from LoG.

    • Stu1

This doesn’t mean it’s the first single. That could be a totally different track.

      • Stu1

Just to elaborate, and as someone else mentioned earlier, bands will put out the song that sounds “the most like older stuff” first, to placate older fans. “Single” means somewhat of a proper release/push to radio and mainstream media. It’s perfectly possible to think there’s some real “radio rock” type tracks that could go out to your local metal station next. But, this could very well be it, too. No way to know, yet.

      • http://www.facebook.com/kellerwvu Alan Keller Jr.

Um wut?  Taken from Chris Adler’s website:

OF GOD has announced that the track ‘Ghost Walking’ will be the first
single unveiled from their forthcoming release, Resolution, in stores
        January 24th, 2012…”

  • Flying Whale

This is AMAZING. Welcome Back, Cordero de Dios. See you in Chile!

  • Nepali Metal Freak

Why people hate Wrath so much???Dumb ass people listen to Broken hands,Dead seeds,Grace,In your words…

  • BloodyWine

    LOG ’til death!!!!!

    awesome as always!

  • http://bikramkawan.com.np Bikram Kawan

    Excited to Listen full album.

  • DionGeko

You guys are all… well, let’s refrain from swearing here. But seriously, I think this song is amazing. Randy, Chris, John, Mike and Willie all worked their asses off to bring you guys this masterpiece, and all you can do is bash it. I would LOVE to see you write something that exceeds this talent… no seriously, I would. I appreciate good songwriting and musicianship, and this song from this amazing band is just that.

Just like JP said, listen to the whole album before you criticize, and that’s not out for another month and a half so calm yourselves.

Besides… Wrath, it was a little bit disappointing; but that’s over. Everyone has their ups and downs, and Wrath was a down. This however, surpasses wrath by SO much it’s ridiculous. The drums are amazing, guitars and bass superb, and don’t get me started on the vocal improvement since Wrath.

GOOD JOB LoG! Keep it up, can’t wait till Resolution comes out so I could get the *FULL TASTE* :D!!

    • Kyle N Tucker

      Umad bro?

          Hah, well done sir.

    • gocolts69

      Who’s Mike?

    • Chris

      So true! Thank you!

Those riffs are sick!! And how many of them were there?! I can’t even count’em, man.. And Randy’s vocals are still improving! Amazing! The “You chased the dragon but it followed you home”-part that leads into the solopart is some of the best LoG I’ve ever heard! Solopart included btw! haha.

  • Metalwolf

The “biggest modern metal band in the world” is Mastodon.  That’s at least arguable.

    • RandomSoul

Id rather not name any band “biggest modern metal band in the world” These arguments are pointless.

  • http://www.facebook.com/jtg1990 James Gilmore

*Insert typical “I WANT ANOTHER PALACES HURRDURRDURR” comment*.

If you can’t say anything remotely constructive, or you only want to repeat what every other try-hard metal elitist has stated since Sacrament, then please just be quiet.

  • dedfromars

  • B-dizzle

I didn’t hate it, but I wasn’t overly huge on it. And I miss the political lyrics.

  • Rationnel Jerk

guitar solo reminds me a lot of Grace sadly… and the drops in the song sound like they will switch to play hit the wall. like around 2:00.

But on the other hand LoG always has songs sounding similar so its not a big deal. but i expected much better.

    • Rationnel Jerk

edit: more than hit the wall, the drops remind choke sermon

  • Kaaoss

Holy Fucking Kick Ass!! Cant wait to get Resolution!! They’re back!!

  • Buddie

I think 2012 Is going to be a good year if it starts with this, Lamb of God can always be trusted to make a great album!

  • Akuadonaldasdad

That shitty player of yours has never worked for me. Always get silence from it. Fuck.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=39112054 Josh Cline

It is natural for a band to evolve throughout their career.  Bands like LoG, Metallica, etc. have all embraced the fact that they want to grow as musicians and share new things with their fans. I know, as a fan, that I don’t want to keep buying the “same album” over and over just to hear new lyrics to the same notes.  I want to hear a band that matures with each release, that learns from their experiences.  Any true fan of a band will accept that.  Am I saying that you have to love every release that your favorite band makes?  No.  Should that one (or more) “weak” album(s) be a deciding factor of your dissing or hatred?  No.  Metal fans can be the most critical fans in the world, which is good; but we cannot condemn a band like LoG for letting their sound evolve.

    • Jpratt5032

Totally agree! Well spoken sir. Every person on this should go back and read your comment.

  • Gautam Nayak

Fucking amazing song. Can’t wait till the new album is out.. LOG rules m/

EPIC!!! this album will be fuckin awesomeee!!!

  • Junarmanden

Already liking this song more than most of Wrath. Wrath was decent and all though. In fact this songs gives me a “Fake Messiah” vibe.

  • Shane-harmston

im sure lamb of god are gonna rip it up with this new album and who knows maybe they check these things to see what reactions they get therefore helping them choose what songs to include on the album??

    • Stu1

No. At this point, the album is done done, songs picked, art done, etc.

“What other band this side of Metallica (who stopped qualifying for the “modern” tag long before Lamb of God released their first album) whips the metalsphere into such a dizzying fury whenever they release new music?”Ummm…other than Lamb Of God, Machine Head and Trivium come to mind. lol. Sick track though. I love it, and can’t wait to hear the rest of it! =)

    • Kyle

       GOJIRA comes to mind

  • ToastMetal

Am i the only person that doesnt think this sounds like wrath? This is a lot heavier then the previous albums. Learn something about music people. This ism’t “wrath v2″ you’re just an idiot.

From all the negativity I was expecting a big pile of wank! Fortunately this place just seems to be full of complete fucking retards as that was beautiful! Welcome back Lamb of God! Welcome back indeed….

People just need to shut up and listen  its good ol log

  • http://www.facebook.com/TheThrashKing Thomas Jürgen Ebers

LoG always seems to release a simpler, to the point track as a teaser for their upcoming album. They give you just a taste before smacking you upside the head with the whole bird!

  • metalhammer

Not bad. It’s straight up recent Lamb of God. Randy’s vocals sound killer a bit lower like this though

  • Brandon_hanson25

Amazing song lol I’ve missed Lamb of God

  • VerrucktsAl

i was looking forward to seeing them in nyc, but that concert sold out pretty fast =(

  • Mark

lol who doesn’t like Wrath.. wtf.. Anyway epic song <3

  • Tal Fineman

Firstly, I didn’t dislike Wrath… but this is NOT like wrath. It reminds me much more of stuff from New American Gospel tbh… the guitar tones are the best they’ve ever been IMO, the whole production is brilliant, and Randy’s vocals are sounding INCREDIBLE!

  • hybridofsteel

I’m a former member of the band Byzantine. And Lamb Of God got us our record deal. So i don’t knock anything they do. If not for them, we would have gotten no where. Good stuff. :o)

LOL FUCK any cunt who says they don’t like this is lamb of god through and through apologies for the swearing i realize when giving your opinion its not polite but all i have to curse just one more time THAT WAS FUCKING SAVAGE, lamb of god are consistently heavy and if you like any other Lamb of God you will like this…. with maybe the exception of sacrament have that same  Southern vibe

    • Stu1

This is amazing and anyone who says otherwise will get their asses handed to them to the tune of this track.  Lamb of God never disappoints.  If you were a real fan of LoG you’d shut your trap and witness a masterpiece.  Any haterz are mad little peon’s with nothing better to do.

  • Kingrichardthe666th

Awesome song. Can’t wait till January

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jesse-Earlywine/100000324284106 Jesse Earlywine

First of all, great song… Okay, not great, but FUCKING FANTASTIC!

But to the Second, Everyone Comparing to Wrath, calling out a Wrath v.2. Can I ask what was wrong with Wrath? Sure non of the songs was as great as ‘Red Neck’, ‘Ruin’, ‘Omerta’, or ’11th Hour’… But it was a great Album… period.

Who here thought Wrath was no good but own the Metallica/Lou Reed ‘Lulu’ album?… Show of hands?
If you raised your hand… Punch yourself in the face… and not a sissy punch.

  • Alex

When did evolving and expanding become a bad thing? As far as I am concerned there is no real reason to criticize. If you don’t like it fuck off. Can’t make your opinion a fact. Personally, I can’t wait to get the shit beat out of me with this new album just as LoG has done with all the others.

  • paganheart

Vocal production is a little cleaner than in the past, but other than that, it sounds like Lamb Of God. And that is not a bad thing. That intro had me scared for a sec though…

  • SinCityAnimal

For once I would like to see all the haters and “Nay-sayers” put out something as well written as this song. Yes it may be somewhat your typical LoG track, but damn it is still a great tune that leaves me wanting to hear more. Randy,Mark,Chris,John and Will got their shit together. Now if only the haters can do the same. m/ (- . -) m/

  • LoG.FAN

Ahh that was just what i needed today.  Cant wait to get this record and see them live again!!! LoG rocks!!

  • omgallusernamestaken

    LOG never fails!

  • http://www.facebook.com/pcbarreiro Pablo Café Barreiro

AMAZING song!! Very Lamb of God! I just can’t imagine how someone who like LOG doesn’t like that song. haters…

  • DionGeko

LMFAOOO I’m sorry guys, it was too early for me!! I tend to make mistakes with typing names all the time when I’m really tired… besides, Mike isn’t THAT different from Mark sooo… yeahh, honest mistake :$.

The embarassing part is he’s one of my favorite guitarists… *facepalm* x_x

  • Elfucko

I have to agree that Wrath wasn’t that great, and wasn’t following the path of Sacrement. But that new song is much better than what they had achieved in Wrath. They kinda brought back the As the palaces burn/Ashes of the wake atmosphere in their riffs and I really love it !

  • phillip starr

    i agree!!!!

  • A.A.

Is that the final mix?  Something about that sounded mad wack.

  • Big B

I have a hard time believing some of this negativity on this one song.  I do believe it’s some pretty solid sound.  They didn’t change, they are still the same band doing their thing.  I would say they have “Evolved” and are bringing us some killer material.  I, for one, will be pre-ordering this one soon, to add to my full collection of their music and dvd’s.  I’m sure some of the negative folks here loved AC/DC’s “Black Ice” and Ozzy’s “Black Rain” albums.  Nothing new, all the same.  I loved LoG’s Wrath album.  Actually thought it was one of their best and now they are competing with my favorite again with this one track.  Keep going LoG, and I will see ya sometime next year!

  • http://www.facebook.com/livemorbidia Kenneth McPhail

Sweet fucking metal, can’t wait for the album. Fuck the haters Lamb of God is the shit. Welcome back guys!

  • Peterreimann94

Looking forward this this album…. Do want.

  • Jammer

How many of you twats are musicians? This song is sic and if you thought Wrath was a weak album then you’re proving your ignorance in relation to song writing and structure. In the words of a fat kid in a movie, “read a fucking book”. I totally agree with what someone said below, about not going back to when the drums and bass sounded thinner than a pedophiles hairline. I live in Vancouver, and Devon Townsend is a legend to me, but if you think his mixes are better than Wrath or this single then you’re higher than I am, and I’m pretty fuckin high

  • LordBilldaPimp

best metal band of today’s scene, deal with it! (u mad bro, go cry at youtube!)

  • http://twitter.com/memoryb0x Gary Lee

take the sand out of your vagina and quit bitching. this song is killer IMO. I doubt half of you dopers could do any better. Wrath and sacrament were two great albums. If you want to live in the past, by all means, thats your problem. however, I am going to enjoy some new kickass lamb of god. g’day

    • Fitchpuckman

I dont think I can do better, I think LoG can do better.

      • Darkfalz45128

i noticed that everyone that has made a remark about LoG being able to do “better” or wrath sucking, has some shitty ass lame pussy pic. lol just sayin man its just things i noticed. like that guy with a image of a chair. wtf??

  • The_I

  • Jessevoakes

Why ain’t this playing? I’m dying to hear this!!!!!

  • Ray

So far its not Wrath 2.0 which is a huge plus for me.  Wrath was such a piece of shit I pretty much stopped listening to LOG.  This song gives me at least some hope this album could be good.

  • Matt_annett

arranged energetic song with defined L.O.G Flavours. Don’t be so
quick to pull the trigger on the upcoming album “haters”
I’m not a die-hard L.O.G fan nor a hater, just someone with an
unbiased perspective on metal music .good work guys looking forward
to the full release. m/ m/

I was just bored. Well executed but damn predictable.

  • Renato Mestre

Here’s the full song w/ lyrics

  • Guitarzan2112

They are a band that doesn’t stray far from the path, for sure. They’ve maintained the ability to stick to their “roots” with every record they’ve put out. In my opinion, this is a good thing and a bad thing. They have a very identifiable and good sound, but sometimes it seems there is little room for maturity or growth musically/creatively. As a composition nerd, sometimes I have a hard time biting something like that off of the artistic meatslab. I have huge respect for these guys and am a fan (more ‘tepid’, less ‘diehard’), so I hope this wont get trolled too hard. There are aspects of this song that I haven’t heard in other LoG in the past. I really like how they sucked some of the gain out of the guitars. It brings clarity. But I do think that the snare could be a little less “room-y” and have a little more pop. But this is all useless, and inane drivel….. Point is, it’s definitely new LoG.

Fucking WOW!!!!!!!!! definitly the best in the business!!!

  • Fitchpuckman

I feel like I fall somewhere in between Guitarzan and Brandon Moreles sentiments below.  This is well done, technically superb, solidly riffed-out metal.  But on the whole i’m not blown away.  Where’s the creativity?  It feels so ‘produced’.  The LoG I’ve come to know and love over the years was a music of assault.  I felt like I used to have to do my best to keep up with it.  I feel like Randy’s voice used to be a 4th/5th instrument that the band fed off of and vice versa.  I dont feel that here.  I haven’t felt that in a while.  It doesnt make this bad.  Perhaps I need to respect where the band is going and what they are coming up with.  But I’m not looking for something specific.  I just miss the classic LoG moment in a song where I was floored by a brutal riff or breakdown that came out and ripped a chill down my spine and made me physically incapable of standing still.

I dont hear this here and haven’t much in recent albums.  I keep listening just to wait for the aforementioned moment that just doesn’t seem to arrive.  I think “okay after this verse…that’s when Wille is going to punch me in the nuts and Chris is going to rewrite what it means to change a song in 2 seconds with a drum riff,”  but it doesn’t happen and it’s disappointing.  Maybe I’m being too picky, but outside of the fade out to Contractor and verse riff to Broken Hands, I feel like a unqiue, creative LoG moment has been missing since WAY back in the good old days of Ashes, NAG, Palaces, and even BTP.  I can still go back and listen to those albums for the 10,000th time and get the same ecstatic goosebumps I got the first time I heard them, the first time A Devil In God’s Country rocked my face off, the first time I moshed to Black Label, the musical war at the end of 11th hour the first time I heard The Black Dahlia and my entire opinion of “the most brutal metal i’ve ever heard” completely changed.  I miss that feeling. I dont want LoG to recreate the past, I just want them to be as creative now as they were then. Maybe I’m (we’re?) spoiled by the greatness and ingenuity LoG has brought over the years. Maybe they’re getting bored. It sounds to me like they are.

  • LOGfan

I never really understood why people feel compelled to let the world know how much they dislike something. LOG has a killer sound whether you like it or not. Obviously they have done something right for you to take the time to listen to their material.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Andy-Acosta/793917379 Andy Acosta

Why is “lets see you do better” the comment people go to when they got nothing else to say when they are defending an album or song. Really that is just retarded and lazy. Thats on the same level as saying well justin beibers better then lamb of god because he sells more records. Its lazy and doesn’t prove if the persons point is valid or not.

    • Fitchpuckman

If you take the time to actually read through some comments, you’ll see a lot of constructive criticism.  Sorry if you feel that all non-fanboy comments are useless, but there may be people out there who love this band but hoped for something more from this song.  The only thing “just retarded and lazy” is comments like yours, which blanket a generalization over all thoughts not your own and presume that everyone else is just wrong for not saying what you think is right.

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Andy-Acosta/793917379 Andy Acosta

Im only commenting on people who say “lets see you do better” also im not sticking up for fan boys because thats what the fan boys are saying to the negative comments. also i never said if i like the band or not i was making an example (with th e justin beiber comment). so maybe you should read what i said instead of just thinking im with one side or another also this song is not very good lamb of god have not wrote any thing worth while since ashes of the wake so stop being retarded and lazy and read the whole comment next time. now eat a sandwich and shut up.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1528091986 Chris Scharff

I fucking love this. It is very LoG, but that is one of the highest compliments I pay any song. It slams. It grooves. It’s loud. It’s raunchy. I was already excited to hear the new album and to see some of it live, and after this, I’m all the more anxious. Feb 12th is Seoul is gonna fuckin’ rock.

  • http://www.thesideshowpodcast.com/ Brian

Sounds like a lost single transitioning the Sacrament and Wrath albums.  I know it’s only the single, but…it’s just a little too safe in structure and aggression.

Oh well..guess we’re never gonna get back to the awesomeness of Palaces and Ashes.

  • Bodybags

All their songs sound the same. :-(

  • leonardo cruz

the beast of a metal god

  • Seanlawsonp

LETS ALL AGREE ON ONE THING, LOG never sold out, and even though the drums tempos tend to repeat making the song sound more “standard”, at least they kept true to themselves, it comes with age. at least theyre not trying to fuse with dubstep like alot of bands are trying to do *cough* korn *cough* *horrible*

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/James-Travis/1661484533 James Travis

Pure American Kick Ass Metal! Fuck Attila,Emmure,For Today, and all those Pussy Bands! This is Heavy Fuckin Metal!!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=597137573 James Greer

I really like the weird intro.  However Randy’s vocals don’t sound as extreme as they used to be.  On Ashes I thought his vocals were sick as fuck and really stood out from other extreme vocalists.  Something about these vocals and on tracks like “Redneck” just sound weaker. Going for that “southern” vibe too much perhaps.  I know its stupid to expect the same sounding material and I don’t want the same material anyway – but when I listen to NAG and ATPB and AOTW even, Sacrament and Wrath just feel neutered somehow in comparison.  I dunno.  For the record “Confessional” on NAG is probably my favorite song of theirs.

My dog fell asleep to this. Not dissing nor praising the track, just stating a fact. My dog fell asleep listening to this song.

  • Musicaldelial

This song is super solid. I’m quite excited about the album. Not going to say much, but this song gives me hope that there will be a return to the grit of Ashes of the Wake. But, even if it doesn’t, I’ll be very stoked about the album if all the tracks are as solid as this one. Can’t wait for January 24th.

  • Ericconnors84

Badass as usual. There’s not another meatal band out that can compete

  • http://twitter.com/DavidEitle Dave Eitle

It’s definitely Lamb of God, that’s really all I can say. They don’t change a whole lot, but I think what they do put out is good stuff.

  • Jacob_j_l

Your music is the best thing to ever happen!!!!!!!!!

  • http://www.facebook.com/jon.chapman2 Jon Chapman

This song makes me want to punch babies in the head. Sweeps in the solos; man these guys just keep getting better. Can’t fucking wait til January.

  • Rick Javic

I like this song, but obviously lots of metalheads will hate this, probably because it resembles actual music and it doesn’t sound like it was recorded on a twenty-five year old tapedeck in someone’s garage.

  • Jeffreymoulton

  • Brock A

LoG never ceases to amaze me…

  • DidgeryDo

People here are taking their love of LOG a little too seriously when it comes to responding to people who didn’t like Wrath that much. I like Lamb of God a lot….but to me Wrath just was not as good as Sacrament, Ashes of the Wake or As the Palaces Burn. Seriously if anyone thinks its better than any of those three needs their head examined. Wrath was fun for a while but the difference is that I continually go back to the other three and listen to them and going back to Wrath is just….meh…It just did not stand the test of time for me. We’ll see what comes of the next album but for all I know this band may have already hit it’s apex. I hope not.

  • Dshell225

  • SpoogeMonkey

Fuckin awesome!!!! Can’t wait for the whole album!

  • Suffocation Of A Massacre

solo is cool, chorus is cool, not digging the bridge too much, some of the song structure feels weird, if this was by anyone but log I’d like it alot more, simply because this is what we’ve been hearing from log for a long time, it feels like it’s not particularly innovative, it’s heavy and it’s as tight as always, but that’s all

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Steve-Ford/100002002443709 Steve Ford

dig it in a big way

  • Headstones6ixty6ix

Aren’t we all, just a bunch of Fucking Lame ass, music critics, with a masters degree in Music! It’s Fucking Hardcore Music, PEOPLE!. …From “Lamb of God”!, it’s not science. It doesn’t matter which album, who produced it, or structure. Okay, maybe Wrath wasn’t my favorite album. But I still pop that fucker into my CD player. Then I put my Grandma in a LAPD style chokehold, wrestle her to the ground ‘till she gives up, or grabs me by the balls and knocks out, one of my teef.

  • anders bjørnø

It’s as simple as if you don’t like em then fuck off and leave them to the people that do.

  • Emilygabriele321

So, uh, what does everyone think of “Ghost Walking?”  I’m interested to hear their full album when it comes out on the 24th of Jan.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=674650150 Rachel Siteman

What an epic song. Be sure to grab a copy of Resolution before the release date on January 24th. You can pick it up here!: http://www.myplaydirect.com/lamb-of-god

  • http://www.facebook.com/kevincorcoranjr Kevin Corcoran Jr

dang this new song is burly as F***! the quality is ridiculous… and i love the punch of the metallic factory sounding snare…. so sick! i could listen to LOG’s guitarists shred all day…. the riffs are so rad. f*** yeah i can’t wait for their new cd! merry january 24th to me :)

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_5TBQ6USOVLETIONYBLBMYUFL5M j_elder132001

Wrath sucked… this song sucks. Lamb of God have sadly reached the limits of their creativity. Sad but true. (<—the bad metallica reference proves it)

  • Electro

I personally liked Wrath. I thought it still had a rough edge about it that I’ve always liked about LoG. Also, intelligent music with enough variance to satisfy me. It sure beat Sacrament, which I just never felt I truly connected with like the other albums.

    Order of albums, imo is:

    1. Ashes of the Wake
    2. Burn the Priest
    3. Wrath
    4. New American Gospel
    5. Sacrament

This song suggests that this album will probably be put at the 2nd or 3rd spot. I’m being a little optimistic. I do like that we can hear the vocals pretty well yet his voice isn’t really different (better production). They still show plenty of talent for my interest

    • Electro

What the hell how did I leave out As The Palaces Burn…

As the Palaces Burn is now 3rd. The others get bumped

  • Pwibbit

LoG is awesome, but nothing can beat OPETH.

  • http://www.facebook.com/clayton.petras Clayton Petras

As the Palaces burn was sick. Ashes of the Wake was sick. Sacrament was sick. Wrath was sick. Resolution will be sick. there is no question. LOG are all talented musicians in their own right. the song is amazing, and i’m excited to see what songs change in the way they do things. Reclamation was a masterpiece. everyone stfu.

  • Thomas Glasgo

Wrath was their Best album. Period. This one might be better ;)

  • Hellcrew

    holly /mF*cKr
    this song is really cool
it’s like awaking me from the hell inside
    welcome hell “LOG”
