LIVE FOOTAGE OF TWO NEW CONTORTIONIST SONGS
Update, 11:19am 4/3: Better quality video of one the new tracks, “Dreaming Schematics,” has been added below.
The Contortionist recently wrapped up recording their new album at Audiohammer Studios in Florida, as documented via a four-part studio video series through Metal Injection. Now they’re out on the road with All Shall Perish, Carnifex, Fleshgod Apocalypse, and Conducting from the Grave and they’re testing some of that new material out in a live setting. As is pretty much always the case these days, some enterprising Contortionist fans have captured decent quality video footage of the band performing two brand new songs, which you can watch below:
Two very different songs with two very different flavors. On first listen I’m feeling the first clip a bit more because it’s less djenty and more proggy/weird (although the second song has those elements too); hopefully the album is more in that vein, which will help this band separate themselves from the crowded pack of progressive metal bands.
