Listen to Cloudkicker’s New Album Little Histories Right Now!

When it rains Cloudkicker, it pours: just a couple of weeks ago Ben Sharp rained down upon us his live album with Intronaut from their very special tour together earlier this year, and today, as announced last week, we get the perfect storm in the form of an entire brand new Cloudkicker album, Little Histories. Happy Thanksgiving, Christmas, Chanukah and New Year all at once!

The first thing you’ll notice about Little Histories is that it offers a stripped down production aesthetic compared to previous Cloudkicker releases — all the instruments sound more raw, for lack of a better word, especially the drums. Otherwise it sounds pretty much like the Cloudkicker we all know and love — big, dreamy soundscapes, cascading waterfalls of guitars and lush arrangements that’ll suck you in and never let you go. Also: are those vocals on “Sky Guide?” Sort of, not really, but still [I think] the first vocalizations to ever appear in Cloudkicker’s music (please correct me if I’m wrong).
