And the New Bassist for Dimmu Borgir Is…

…Victor Brandt, who you may know from his work with Entombed A.D. and Firespawn.

Brandt replaces Cyrus, who replaced Snowy Shaw, who replaced ICS Vortex, who replaced Nagash, who replaced Brynjard Tristan. I don’t know why Brandt gets to use his boring regular name and hasn’t been re-christened Vaginath or whatever. Maybe nicknames are for closers, so to speak.

ANYHOO, I don’t think Brandt’s presence will really effect the band much one way or the other — clearly, at this point, it’s the Shagrath, Silenoz, and Galder show — but if you’re going to see Dimmu live and you were wondering who’d be handling bass duties, now you know. Yay.
