MUNKY ANNOUNCES THE FORMATION OF A SUPERGROUP, AND ANOTHER MEMBER OF FAITH NO MORE DISAPPOINTS US

faith-no-more-billy-gould-photo.jpgWhen Munky bailed on Korn mid-tour earlier this year, we said what most people were already thinking: the dude is done with the band. But at least one reader, the eloquently named “DISTURBED4LIFE,” disagreed, throwing it in our face that Munky had, indeed, re-joined the band later in the tour:

“hes still in the band.. next time get your info right.”

So, yes, I suppose that Munky is still technically in Korn. But Jonathan Davis is doing a solo tour this summer and Munky has announced the formation of a new supergroup, Fear and the Nervous System, so you tell me if these guys still like one another.

ANYWAY, Munky’s new band will feature the guitar player pairing no one was waiting for in Munky and Wes Borland*, and will also include Bad Religion’s Brooks Wackerman on the drums and, on the bass… BILLY FUCKING GOULD.

I can only imagine that Gould felt that his former Faith No More band mate Mike Bordin had paved the way for him to work with such a shitty band when he briefly played drums for Korn a few years back. And, hey, Billy, why not make some good money off of a musician who’s made a fortune stealing your shit? You deserve it, right?

And to think: up ’til now, we thought Jim Martin growing pumpkins was the stupidest post-FNM career possible.

Here’s videos for two of my favorite Gould-centric FNM tracks, “We Care A Lot” (Chuck Mosely is the hizzee!) and “Falling to Pieces.” Dig that same reflective floor and cloudy sky that the band used in the “Epic” video!

*Members of Korn and Limp Bizkit playing together at last! It’s like the dudes from Poison and the dudes from Cinderella in one great package! I mean, Munky & Borland has to be like the anti-King & Hanneman, right?
