JEFF LOOMIS PLAYS YOU HIS “REQUIEM FOR THE LIVING”

Jeff Loomis has debuted another new song via a playthrough video — this one is called “Requiem for the Living,” and it features Attila Vörös, who, you probably know, was Nevermore’s touring co-guitarist during The Obsidian Conspiracy cycle. The song is moody and kinda mournful — y’know, like a requiem! — but also totally epic. I could watch Loomis play guitar all day, but even if you don’t find that kind of thing interesting, you should still check this out to get a new taste of Loomis’ forthcoming Plains of Oblivion — ’cause the album is damn good.

Plains of Oblivion comes out April 10 on Century. Loomis will be part of a MetalSucks-sponsored tour with Protest the Hero, Periphery, The Safety Fire, and Today I Caught the Plague starting at the end of this month; get dates here.
