R.I.P. ADAM YAUCH (BEASTIE BOYS)

Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys, aka MCA, has died at the age of 47. He had been fighting cancer of the salivary gland since 2009.

The Beastie Boys were obviously not a metal band, but they were incredibly important to pretty much any music fan born before 1990 or so, including all of us at MetalSucks. The Beastie Boys heavier material bordered on hard rock and even had elements of metal, and their ultimate party anthem certainly embodied the spirit of metal to the fullest.
