TOO SOON? COREY’S BEST OF 2012 … SO FAR!

Readers of my Bleeders’ Digest may know that I am barely two-thirds of the way through April releases, so plenty of new 2012 albums are not on my list below — because I haven’t heard them yet. So we’ll wait and see about potential keepers from Burzum, The Cult, Huntress, Marduk, Ne Obliviscaris, St. Vitus, Shadows Fall, Six Feet Under, Ulver, Watain (live), Fear Factory, Kreator, Gojira, and more.

For now, I have listened to 597 of 2012’s albums and EPs! Seriously! Here are the best:

  • 4Arm Submission For Liberty (Rising Records)
  • Abysse EN(D)GRAVE (Blue Wave)
  • Acheode Anxiety (Kreative Klan)
  • Philip H. Anselmo Walk Through Exits Only (Housecore)
  • Black Sheep Wall No Matter Where It Ends (Season of Mist)
  • Desecravity Implicit Obedience (Willowtip)
  • Down IV (Down Records)
  • Every Time I Die Ex Lives (Epitaph)
  • Hellish Outcast Your God Will Bleed
  • High On Fire De Vermis Mysteriis (E One)
  • Necroblaspheme XXVI: the Deeper – the Better
  • Primitive Weapons The Shadow Gallery (Prosthetic)
  • Suicidal Angels Bloodbath (NoiseArt)
  • The 11th Hour Lacrima Mortis (Napalm)
  • Tyrant Of Death Re Connect
