New Stuff

LISTEN TO PIG DESTROYER’S “BURNING PALM” RIGHT FRIGGIN’ NOWThis incredible pic courtesy of Pig Destroyer’s official Facebook page.

I’m in a weird place right now where I said so much about Pig Destroyer’s new album, Book Burner, in my review that I am, at least for the time being, kinda out of ways to tell you how incredible I think this album is. So let’s just leave it this: another song from the album, “Burning Palm,” has been unveiled over via a lyric video (all the better to consume J.R. Hayes’ poetry!) which you can watch after the jump, and, obviously, you should drop whatever it is you’re doing right now and listen to it.

I don’t care if you’re at work — just remind your boss that listening to grindcore is good for productivity and crank that shit up as loud as you can. And obviously you’re entitled to your opinion, but, y’know, if you don’t love this song, you’re just wrong. No, I get it, you’re smart, you disagree with me, that’s fine, but you’re totally dead wrong is all I’m saying. If that section that kicks off around the 1:29 mark doesn’t make you wanna put your fist through a wall, I have to imagine you have no hands, and I’m so sorry that you were caught stealing in the Middle East.

Pig Destroyer’s Book Burner comes out October 22 on Relapse; pre-order it here. The band will headline the third annual MetalSucks/Metal Injection/1000 Knives CMJ showcase on October 18, with support coming from KEN Mode, Early Graves, and Encrust; and tickets are on sale at this link.
