An Omen: Stream the New Nine Inch Nails How to Destroy Angels EP

How to Destroy Angels, the not-really-new-anymore projects from Trent Reznor, his wife Mariqueen Maandig, and his frequent collaborator Atticus Ross, are now streaming their new EP, An Omen, here. I found the first song from the EP to be unveiled, “Keep it Together,” to be kinda disappointing, but I’m really digging all the other songs. So, once again, I must bow down before the superior musician that is Trent Reznor. An Omen comes out on November 13.

In other Reznor news, the eternally-mopey rock star recently told Rolling Stone that there is “new [Nine Inch Nails] music… in the works.” He also didn’t rule out Nine Inch Nails performing live again, either:

“I never said that that wasn’t going to happen, just that it couldn’t go on as it was. Having a few years doing other things, I’ve enjoyed [them] and I’m enjoying doing How to Destroy Angels, and there will be a place for stuff that falls in the Nine Inch Nails column of things. It’s a different kind of work.”

I would obviously love to see Nine Inch Nails live again, but at this point, I’d settle for pretty much any public appearance from Robin Finck. Where has one of my biggest man-crushes disappeared to since the live incarnation of NiN went away? Oh, how I miss the fish face he makes while playing guitar! But he hasn’t so much as tweeted in over a year, frowney face.
