Nothing Remains? All That’s Left is Chimaira
Eight years after declaring that “Nothing Remains,” Chimaira have now decided that something does actually remain… although I honestly don’t know if this is a step up or a step down in terms of things you want to have left over.
The band has debuted another new song, “All That’s Left is Blood,” live. (You can check out the first, “I Despise,” here.) There doesn’t seem to be very high quality fan-filmed footage of the tune online yet, so it’s hard to judge the tune, but it basically sounds good to me! And, HOO-RAY!, there’s an Emil Werstler guitar solo, and those have historically never been a bad thing. It sounds like drummer Austin D’Amond is killing it, too. Check it out:
Chimaira’s new album, Crown of Phantoms, will be out this summer on eOne. The band is currently in the midst of an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds for deluxe editions of the release; with forty-two days left to go, they’ve already reached more than $25k of their $30k goal. Mazel tov, fellas!
