In case it wasn’t already clear that something is rotten in the state of Lemmark — Motörhead drummer Mikkey Dee has revealed to GT.se that Motörhead have been forced to cancel the remainder of their summer European tour due to Lemmy’s ongoing health issues:

“Things are improving with Lemmy, but the doctors in Berlin are recommending that he rests for another couple of weeks. We can’t keep canceling show after show, it’s too costly. Therefore we unfortunately have to cancel the entire tour. There will be an official announcement regarding his health shortly… But we’re not canceling because of a cold and this is something we’ve put a lot of thought into.”

This despite the band’s insistence just last week that Lemmy was on the mend from a recent hematoma that forced the cancellation of three shows, and would be “back to playing shows shortly.” So that’s not entirely reassuring.

Now is the time to go the corner and pray to whatever deity you worship that Lemmy makes a full and speedy recovery. I don’t know what we’ll do if lose Hanneman and Lemmy in the same year.
