Video Footage of The Ocean’s Entire 75-Minute Headline Set in Brooklyn!

Twenty five minutes of The Ocean is just not enough! Summer Slaughter is always cool in that you get to see a whole bunch of bands in one day, but for a group like The Ocean whose music is so dynamic, catalogue so deep and home country so far away, a 25 minute live set amounts to just putting in your tip. Cock-tease!

So imagine my delight when the “mysterious” band being billed as Pelagial at Saint Vitus on Tuesday night ended up being none other than The Ocean (ohmigod can you believe it???). The band had to keep the show quiet due to a Summer Slaughter radius clause preventing them from playing in the area, but word had no problem getting out amongst Ocean fans; the room was full, if not quite sold out. We were treated to a 75-minute headline set that included the entirety of Pelagial (such a treat!) plus a few “greatest hits” to close it out. And now you can watch the whole thing courtesy of Metal Injection’s Frank Huang. Bless that guy!
