There Will Never Be a Lulu 2

In case you haven’t heard already: Lou Reed is dead. He was seventy-one years old. The cause of death has not been made public as of yet. During his life, Reed made a lot of great records and had an immeasurable impact on rock and pop music.

Unfortunately, the last thing he released before his death was Lulu. Not exactly a high note on which to go out.

Still, only an asshole would speak ill of the dead, so I’m not gonna make any jokes here. Honestly, when I saw James Hetfield’s tweet about Reed’s death yesterday, my heart broke a little; the guy is clearly really torn up about Reed’s passing:

R.I.P. Lou Reed. I hope Heaven is a place where Lulu never happened.
