We’ve heard surprisingly little about the legal woes of As I Lay Dying vocalist Tim Lambesis as of late; in September, we learned that a formal reading of the charges against Lambesis was scheduled to take place on October 22, at which point a trial date would be selected. But October 22 has obviously come and gone, and zip, zilch, nada.

But now we have some news, thanks to the investigative journalists at Lambgoat. Basically, as you might imagine, there’s been a lot behind-the-scenes legal mishegas holding everything up:

“Lambgoat has learned that on October 22nd, Lambesis’s attorney was apparently tied up with another trial, so the judged permitted a delay. Consequently, Lambesis is now slated to appear before Judge Aaron Katz on Wednesday, November 13 at the North County Superior Courthouse in Vista, CA for an ‘arraignment on information’ hearing.”

In other words, this coming Wednesday, Lambesis will enter a plea (presumably of “not guilty”), at which point, FINALLY, a date will be set… for a pre-trial hearing. And at that pre-trial hearing, maybe, MAYBE, a date will be set for the actual trial.

Ah, the American legal system. Gotta love it.
