The Album Art for Devin Townsend’s Casualties of Cool Project is Smokin’
Around this time yesterday, the crowdfunding campaign for Devin Townsend’s Casualties of Cool project had raised 275% of its goal; as I write this, it’s up to 304%. And keep in mind the thing just launched Friday afternoon. Hookers have raised money more slowly.
So little wonder Devy is now showering his adoring audience with gifts! Yesterday, it was an honest to Ziltoid Casualties of Cool song, “Forgive Me,” and now, it’s the album’s cover art, which you can check out below. I dig it. It’s spare, it’s classy, it’s — dare I say it? — cool. I also like that they didn’t worry about the shadow from the radio knob blocking the name. I guess when your fans are this enthusiastic about your work, you really don’t have to worry about branding.
