The Pride of Reading, PA: Rivers of Nihil and Black Crown Initiate Announce New Tour Dates

Who could have ever predicted that Reading, Pennsylvania would be the new Gothenburg, Sweden? Okay, so maybe Reading needs to spawn a few more awesome death metal bands to be officially considered a “metallic place of interest,” but you gotta admit, they’re off to a great start: Rivers of Nihil and Black Crown Initiate both call Reading home, are both awesome, and are both even more awesome live. So it seems clear that they’re putting something in Reading’s water supply.

These two killer up n’ comers will plant Reading’s flag a little deeper in the metal scene’s sand next month, when they embark on The Reading Rainbow Tour. And just in time for the return of the actual Reading Rainbow! If LeVar Burton were smart, he’d book these two acts to be on the show STAT. I know that show doesn’t traditionally have musical guests, but maybe if they did, they wouldn’t have gotten cancelled in 2009. Just sayin’.
