The band formerly known as Death to All — basically Death without the late Chuck Schuldiner — is now apparently going by the name Death (DTA Tours). Why the change? And could they really not think of ANYTHING better? That is the most awkward name this side of a Fiona Apple album. It can’t be a legal issue, ’cause they’re still using the Death logo. If they for some reason decided they didn’t like the name “Death to All,” they could have least called themselves, I dunno, Human or something like that.

ANYWAY, regardless of what they’re calling themselves these days, Death (DTA Tours) is still awesome. So you should go see them when they once again hit the road this winter for a North American tour. ‘Specially since they’re bringin’ some buds with ’em: namely, Obituary, Massacre, Rivers of Nihil, and, on select dates, Untimely Demise. You gotta wonder how RoN got on the tour, given that, unlike the other four bands, they have no direct reference to death in their moniker. You’d think it was part of the deal that they had to be known as “Rivers of Necrophilia” or something for the duration of this trek.

I’m kidding, in case that wasn’t readily apparent.

ANYWAY, these shows should more intense than a Jon Leon-powered Dutch over. Here are dates, courtesy of The PRP:
