This May or May Not Be New Tool Music
Tool’s Adam Jones has posted the below Instagram of engineer/mixer “Evil” Joe Barresi working on… something. Because of Jones’ involvement (at least insofar as filming the video clip) and the fact that Barresi worked on Tool’s last album, 10,000 Days, people are assuming that this is a snippet of new Tool music.
Which I hope is true! But at this point, I won’t really believe anything ’til it’s made official. Tool have toyed with my emotions too many times before! I can’t just let the band keep breaking my heart over and over.
Check out the snippet below for yourself and see if you think it sounds Tool-ish or not. Something else to consider: what the what does the #CaptainMidnight hashtag mean? My guess it’s just another silly nickname for Barresi, but who knows… it could be a working title for the song or something.
