Between the Buried and Me’s Video for “The Coma Machine” is Creepy, Impressive
Between the Buried and Me’s new video for “The Coma Machine” feels like an amalgamation of Birdman, A Nightmare on Elm Street, that episode of Rick and Morty that takes place in a simulation of Earth, and some other shit I’m probably not thinking of right now (Cube? Saw?). The entire clip is just a long, single shot (with some obvious cheats, natch), which tells the story of a dude waking up in a strange home that appears to have supernatural elements.
Given that Tommy Rogers says the video “looks beyond the story that is on” the band’s new album, Coma Ecliptic, BTBAM fans far more obsessive than I will probably pore over every detail, figuring out all the ways in which the clip connects to the themes that record… but even if you don’t wanna go through it with a fine tooth comb, the video is really cool.
Watch it below! Come Ecliptic comes out July 10 on Metal Blade.
