Superjoint Ritual Officially Announce Reunion Tour
Drummer Joey “Speedy” Gonzalez let the news slip last month, but it is now officially official: the revamped Superjoint Ritual, now known simply as “Superjoint,”* will tour the United States in July… their first tour in over a decade!
Alas, the two week trek is somewhat geographically limited, and many of us won’t get to attend… but hopefully this will go well and more tours will follow. Maybe even an album? I’ll sacrifice a goat to Dio later to try to make this happen, and I suggest you all do the same.
Dates are below, courtesy of Lambgoat. Support will come from Phil Anselmo’s buds in King Parrot and Child Bite.
7/10 Oklahoma City OK @ Diamond Ballroom
7/11 Houston TX @ Fitzgerald’s
7/12 Dallas TX @ Gas Monkey
7/14 Cincinnati OH @ Bogarts
7/15 Flint, MI @ Machine Shop
7/17 Poughkeepsie NY @ The Chance
7/18 Lancaster PA @ Chameleon Club
7/19 Huntington WV @ V Club
7/21 Greensboro, NC @ Greene Street
7/23 Clarksville, TN @ Warehouse Live
7/24 Pensacola FL @ Vinyl Music Hall
7/25 Shreveport, LA @ Warehouse
And here’s the soundtrack for your celebration… if you listen to this song without pissing off the neighbors and do at least some physical damage to your home, you’re doing it wrong.
*I assume the circumcision of the band’s name occurred for legal reasons, but whatever — Superjoint is a better name anyway! And I’m glad for some differentiation, any differentiation, from the old band.
