Scorpions New Track “We Built This House” Sounds Like Scorpions

Metal Insider tells me that Scorpions will release a new album this fall, Return to Forever, their eighteenth (in the U.S. — it’s already out in Europe). As a one-time fan of the Scorps I felt I owed it to to myself to check out their new song “We Built This House,” which Rolling Stone is streaming right now. Here it is:

What do we think? It’s got all your classic Scorps hallmarks: twin guitarmonies, a killer sense of melody, a catchy-as-hell chorus and Klaus Meine’s sweet, sweet vocals. And that’s a good thing! I think we can all agree that Scorpions are one band who should never, ever try and change up their formula.
