“The Grindmother,” Age 67, Debuts Solo Song

  • Axl Rosenberg

Remember back in January, when grindcore outfit Corrupt Leaders enlisted the aid of frontman Rain Forest’s sexagenarian mother for vocal duties?

Well, it would appear that all that attention went to Mama Forest’s head, ’cause she’s pulled a David Lee Roth and gone solo.

Kidding. Sort of.

“The Grindmother,” as she is now known, has released her first solo track, “Any Cost.” But I assume that her son and/or the other members of Corrupt Leaders had something to do with it.

In any case, she did an excellent job with the tune. Watching a sweet old lady scream her guts out in this video totally gave me PTSD flashbacks to family holidays at The Rosenberg House. I mean that as a compliment. Mostly.

So what’s next for The Grindmother? Normally, there’s an iron ceiling on the level of success a grind artist can attain… but normally, grindcore artists aren’t featured on The Maury Show.

So, clearly, The Grindmother is going straight to the top.
