For Just $500, Tim Lambesis’ Prison Inmate I.D. Can Be Yours (Allegedly)

While Tim Lambesis continues to sit quietly in the corner and think about what he did for six years, one of his fellow convicts has allegedly managed to get their hands on the As I Lay Dying/Austrian Death Machine vocalist’s prison inmate I.D. He claims Lambesis gave it to him as a gift after they met and had a bromance in jail, presumably so he would be eligible for this year’s “Weirdest Presents Ever” awards.

And because that “friend” of Lambesis’ is nothing but 100% pure class, he is now selling that I.D. on eBay, with $500 set as the minimum bid.

Sadly, prison inmate I.D.s do not come with certificates of authentication, so there’s no way to verify that this is real. But if we assume it is, some questions are raised. Questions like:

  • Are prisoners really allowed to just give away their I.D.s? Don’t they need those?
  • Is it even legal to sell this?
  • Who the fuck wants this?
  • Is Lambesis getting a cut of the money?
  • If Lambesis is not getting a cut of this money, how angry must he be that he gave this guy something potentially valuable and the dude put it on eBay? That probably feels like a major betrayal, right? Kinda like if your ex tried to hire a hitman to have you whacked. Metaphorically speaking, of course.

If you know the answers to any of these questions, you can leave them in the comments section. If you feel compelled to bid of this particular piece of memorabilia, go nuts.
