Necrophagist Drummer Tells You What You Already Knew: The Band is Dead

Remember in 2013, when Necrophagist drummer Romain Goulon promised fans that “there will be a new album,” and we were all, “Yeah, right!”

Well, per Metal Injection, Goulon seems to have finally woken up and smelled the Carcass:

Which should surprise only those suffering from denial at its most delusional extreme. I mean, it’s been twelve years since Epitaph.

Still, if you absolutely MUST hold onto hope, however slight, remember that at the end of the day, Necrophagist is Muhammed Suiçmez’s baby. All the industry chatter I’ve heard suggests that there’s no new Necrophagist album because Suiçmez hasn’t made one, period. So if the dude ever changes his mind, there could still be a new Necrophagist release.

But I wouldn’t hold your breath.
