Whitechapel Release First Round of Dates of U.S. Co-Headlining Tour With Suicide Silence
When the Stright Outta Hell tour featuring Whitechapel, Suicide Silence, Despised Icon, Carnifex and Oceano was announced, the inner 2008 deathcore fan in all of us perked up and got excited about something for the first time in years. It was a calling back to better days — days of pig squeals and chuggy breakdowns, of metal basketball jerseys and flat bill hats, and of tough guy fuckwaffles in said jerseys and hats telling everyone that they aren’t part of the scene. Better days indeed. So that’s why you can all be excited that the first batch of U.S. tour dates have been released.
As you might have noticed, there are only eight dates up so far, with more to be announced. This is likely because the bands are already booked in cities on that tour and aren’t allowed to release the dates until after they’ve played. Gotta love industry politics, right?
Anyway, the only way this tour could get more 2008 is if Winds of Plague and Job For A Cowboy were on the bill. But let’s be real here, that would require all the reserve stores of 2008 left in the world and it would just be irresponsible to deplete them so quickly. You can check the dates below and we’ll have more as soon as they’re announced.
