Laugh At Others' Misfortunes

Video: Airbourne Frontman Joel O’Keefe Falls Down, Goes Boom

Remember Airbourne, the modern teenage metal fan’s version of AC/DC? They actually just put out an album called Breakin’ Outta Hell that’s surprisingly not terrible if you’re into that kind of big straightforward hard rock.

Sadly, not everything is cheesesteaks and blowjobs for the band, as frontman Joel O’Keefe took a nasty spill offstage during the band’s encore of “Running Wild” at a recent show in Kamloops, British Columbia. The dude dropped offstage and was picked up by his crew, who then had to bring him a chair to sit on while he finished his set. You can watch fan-shot footage below.

According to YouTuber Shawn Pooley, who uploaded the video, O’Keefe is rumored to have torn some ligaments, and he might have even broken his leg. And as much fun as it is to watch a bombastic rock star type fall off stage, and as easy as it is to pick fun at a band like Airbourne, we honestly wish O’Keefe or his band no ill will. So, Joel, guys, hope it’s not that bad. Good luck, speedy recovery.

That said, watch the video below and have yourself a chortle at the disappearing frontman. Breakin’ Outta Hell is out now on Spinefarm.
