Tuner Pedal with GPS Tracker is Now Crowdfunding

Last month we introduced you to Smrt Roadie, a pedal tuner with a GPS built in. With band robberies becoming all too common, the pedal’s maker, Gigbox, devised the product as a nifty way for bands to track down stolen gear.

Smrt Roadie is now crowdfunding via Indiegogo to raise funds for production. Donations start as low as $5 and go up from there. The final product will retail for around $150, which is an insane bargain as an insurance policy that allows you to retrieve all of your stolen gear. And even if you never get robbed, what touring musician doesn’t need a tuner pedal on a nightly basis?? Worth it on every level.
