Soen (feat. ex-Opeth drummer Martin Lopez) Release New Track “Sectarian”

Soen will return with their third album Lykaia early next year, and in keeping with their prior two releases it’s very Opeth-ian in nature, if the first single is any indication. Which makes sense, of course — Ex-Opeth drummer Martin Lopez is one of the band’s primary songwriters.

The first single, “Sectarian,” is really good — it’s kind of like a blend of Blackwater Park-era Opeth and something still proggy but more hard rock-leaning, like Katatonia. I dig.
