Horse the Band Announce Spring 2017 Tour with Infinity Shred and Graf Orlock

It’s been quite a while since I’ve heard anything about Horse the Band. So long that I was sure they’d broken up.

But they haven’t! Their Wikipedia page says they’ve maintained the same lineup since 2010, and Lambgoat tells us they just announced a short run of spring dates in the U.S. West and South with Infinity Shred and Graf Orlock, as interesting a combination of touring bands as has ever existed. A bit of digging also turned up this brief European run in 2015 and a few U.S. dates in 2014. So it seems that the band is still active, just in a very low key way.

Which is a great way of existence, really: these dudes still get to experience the fun and creative satisfaction of being in a touring band, but without the severe lack of money and personal relationships that come with doing so full time. Win/win.

Somehow I don’t think I’ve ever seen Horse the Band play live, which is a true shame. They’re progressive metal pioneers, and their performances are allegedly quite the experience. Go check ’em out if you live in one of the below cities, and tell ’em Papa Vince sent ya.
