Listen to Psykup!

We’ve only ever mentioned Psykup twice in ten years of MetalSucks. That’s a damn shame.

One listen to their new song “We Will Win This War” and you’ll understand why they’ve been so overlooked and under-appreciated. Their music has the schizophrenic approach of Faith No More, both vocally and musically, but it’s way heavier and more modern: think a slightly more focused and groovy version of Destrage. This isn’t the kind of metal that’s going to appeal to everyone, but for those looking for something a little out there, yet still oddly accessible, it’s perfect. Fans of musician-centric bands like Leprous are going to absolutely lose their shit over it.
