Listen: Havok’s “Intention to Deceive” Takes on The Media

Havok have unveiled another rager from their new album, Conformicide, in the form of “Intention to Deceive.” As will become apparent immediately upon hitting “play,” the track is a rally cry against the bullshit on which the media often chooses to focus while ignoring events of far greater importance. Trumpets shouldn’t try to claim the track as their own, though — based on the fact that Havok released Conformicide‘s first single, “Hang ‘Em High,” on Inauguration Day, I’d wager they’re not talking about “fake news” so much as they’re talking about our focus on Trump v. Streep instead of Bannon v. Democracy. I could be wrong about that but I doubt it.

In any case, the song could be about a parent trying to make sure their kid doesn’t find out that Santa Claus isn’t real, and it would still rip your goddamn face off. My fingers started to blister just listening to the guitar solo. Ow.

Check out “Intention to Deceive” below. Conformicide out March 10 on Century. Pre-order it here.

Thanks: R.C.
