Bad Wolves is a new band featuring former God Forbid guitarist Doc Coyle, former DevilDriver drummer John Boecklin, and former Divine Heresy vocalist Tommy Vext. Given the group’s pedigree, what’s surprising about their new song, “Learn to Live,” is that it super djenty; you’d be forgiven for assuming it was gonna sound like Devil Forbid, but if I just played it for you without telling you who was involved, you’d be like, “Oh, is this the new Periphery?”.

What isn’t surprising about the song, given the group’s pedigree, is that it’s catchy as flypaper. Like, if you’ve got shit to do today that doesn’t involve having vext wail “Staring awake at the cei-ling!” repeating in your head for hours on end, maybe put off listening to this ’til later.

Everyone else: have at it! No word on when Bad Wolves’ debut album will be released or touring plans or anything like that, but if you dig the song, it’s available for your streaming pleasure on Spotify.
